Hello friends and family!

I am now going to attempt to put this pregnancy experience into words for my child to read in the future.

I am currently 17 1/2 weeks along! Wow...this has already gone by so quickly...

From the beginning.. (Disclaimer:this is going to be a long one)

February 24, 2011, 6:29 p.m.: Positive pregnancy test (one of many to come..I know, I know..one is enough-not really if you know me)

I came home from work and took a pregnancy test since I was having another long cycle...to my surprise it was positive! I then took a picture and sent it to Jonathan with the message, "Come home now! Do you see this?" Text back from husband: "A little. I'm on my way home." Text from me: "Please hurry. Drive safely at the same time. Don't get a ticket."

We then proceeded to go to CVS and buy more pregnancy tests. 7 of them to be exact including a digital one. All positive. Duh, Lindsey.

The next morning I called Dr. Chamberlain to set up an inital appointment. We were scheduled for 3 weeks away. Oh well, I guess I will wait. We were to get an ultrasound to date the pregnancy at this point.

March 16, 2011: No symptoms and only 6 1/2 weeks along. Dr. Chamberlain had thought I would be three weeks further, but at least we were able to see the little heartbeat flutter!

Week 7: First migraine. This really worried me because I had not had one in a year.

Week 8: Second and third migraine within 24 hours of each other. This brought me to tears due to how awful I feel with them.

Week 8 cont.: First nausea and vomitting spell. Continues until present day. However, the generic form of Zofran in 4mg helps greatly.

Week 9: Still really sick. Migraines have stopped.

Week 10: Still really sick. Unable to hear heartbeat but saw Baby Turner ("Appleseed") again via ultrasound.

Week 11: Still really sick. Cannot wear my pants any longer.

Week 12: Easter. Barely made it home from Brittni Jones' (now Scott's) wedding before being ill.

Week 13: Beach vacation to Naples for my 26th birthday. Better but still sick. Tummy has "popped." Heard the heartbeat for the first time. 150 bpm. Weight gain was 2 pounds.

Week 14: Better but not great. Able to eat some.

Week 15: Better but have to take medicine each day. Must have an orange every morning.

Week 16: Heard heartbeat. 152 bpm.

Week 17: Growing larger and still taking 4mg once a day. Still love my oranges!!

Thanks for visiting! I will work on keeping this updated more frequently once I get the hang of it!

Lindsey
